Flannelette is a brushed cotton material that has been used in the cleaning of firearms for many years. Flannelette will absorb dirt, grease and oil. When wetted with a small amount of oil, flannelette will leave a fine film of oil on surfaces - ideal for preservation.

While many flannelettes are now being made with a cotton/nylon mix, this flannelette is an 100% brushed cotton. Cotton, being more absorbant, cleans more thoroughly than cotton/nylon mixes.

These rolls of flannelette are 101mm wide and 9.14 metres long. Red stripes mark the material at 50mm intervals. A patch torn on these red lines is sized for .30 calibre rifles.
